01 · the short version

What is this thing?

Internal software often gets neglected, forcing employees to navigate clunky, disjointed systems. The Staff Portal was built as a sleek, centralised layer on top of Zoho. It pulls data via APIs to present tasks, company notices, and operational tools in a clean, intuitive interface designed specifically for mobile users on the go.

the problem

What needed fixing?

The primary goal was to reduce friction for the team. Instead of dealing with the dense and complex native Zoho interfaces, employees needed a streamlined dashboard that only surfaces what they actually need—making everyday workflows faster and reducing onboarding time for new hires.

the approach

What I actually did.

I focused heavily on a responsive, mobile-first UI since staff are frequently away from their desks. The app uses secure authentication to sync with their Zoho profiles, fetching their specific tasks and company-wide notices in real-time. The design language is intentionally minimal—no clutter, just clear typography and accessible components.

A centralised, frictionless internal experience that bridges the gap between complex Zoho backend operations and the day-to-day needs of the staff, making routine work significantly less fragmented.
